Cheryl has served on the Board for the last 2 ½ years. She has been a teacher for 30+ years in the De Pere School District. Cheryl has lived her entire life in De Pere, growing up on River Avenue in West De Pere. She calls herself a true “river rat.” Cheryl attended West De Pere High School and UW-Oshkosh. She is married with two married children.
Her desire to be on the board is rooted in her love of De Pere and its history. Cheryl has always felt the reverence that Cemeteries have and wants to make sure that and preservation of the Greenwood Cemetery is upheld. She is very glad to know that one day she will be on the river again, her forever earthly home.
She also looks forward to help in filling in the blanks of the many people she knows who are buried there and finding family members as has already been doing.
